High School Extracurricular Activities:

 

High school offers many great extracurricular activities, such as clubs, music and theater groups, student government, and sports teams. This is a fantastic time to explore your interests and try new things.  These activities may take place before or after school, or during free periods or study halls. Being part of an extracurricular school activity helps to sharpen your time management and social skills.

 

High School Yearbook:

 

High School yearbooks are a great way to reflect on your school years.  High school yearbooks usually have pictures of all high school students for the given year, sports highlights, high school clubs, and current events that took place in that particular year.  High school alumni interested in their graduating classes yearbook are able to purchase a yearbook to reflect on the great friends and memories through their high school experience.

 



Test Prep

 

The most important indicator of which colleges will accept you is your score on a College Board test, such as the SAT and the ACT.  You have no control over which questions will be asked on the SAT or ACT, but you do have control over how your prepare yourself.  As more and more students world-wide appl to college, and as college budget cuts continue to plague our universities, it becomes increasingly important to prepare yourself so that your SAT or ACT score is competitive. 

 

High School Alumni

 

Class Reunions are a great way to catch up with old classmates.  Reunions are typically organized at or near their former school by class members on or around an anniversary of their graduation. Former teachers and high school staff may be invited as well.  High School Reunions are a great way to see former high school friends in person to update them on your life’s events and to reminisce on high school memories.

 

High School Credit Recovery

Students that are behind on high school credits have an opportunity to attend a high school summer credit recovery program, which will allow them to gain the extra credits needed to graduate.  Due to budget cuts in many states, students have been forced to attend high school credit recovery programs offers through the summer in order to gain the additional credits needed to graduate.   Many summer programs offer credit recovery classes for three to four weeks, so students have a least some time to enjoy their summer vacation.
